“In January of 2010 my husband passed away. I really didn’t know if I was going to be able to stay in Santa Maria on my own, because I was having a hard time finding housing that I could afford. Until I found Hummel Village. I just happened to see the sign driving by and decided to check it out. It was the best thing I ever did! I was shown an apartment, and it met all my needs. I was impressed with the extra community areas and guest rooms that were available to me. But I was especially impressed when they told me I only had to write one check a month, other than one for my phone! This was the cleanest, most well kept complex I could find and the people that live here are very welcoming. You can socialize if you want to with all the activities that they offer, or you can choose not to participate, it’s your choice. The people here are very friendly, and they also allow pets under 30 pounds. My puppy and I have been very happy living here at Hummel Village.” ~ Ginny B., a Hummel Village resident since 2010 ~
