Here are some words about Hummel Village
from our residents…

“I moved to Hummel Village to be close to my son’s family and to better take care of my sick husband. It was so great to be rid of the responsibility of home ownership. I have really enjoyed living here. The social activities are fun and I have met so many new friends. One of the highlights of my week and a benefit of living here is having my apartment cleaned for me. The owners and employees of Hummel Village have really made this a great place to live.” ~ Joyce St. John

“I enjoy all the friendly people I have met at
Hummel Village. It’s a small enough community that it doesn’t take long before
you feel like you are one close knit family, sharing in both their happy
moments or sad times… I greatly appreciate the staff who will pick you up if
you have difficulty walking to any activity…” ~ Elsa Hill

“I arrived at Hummel
Village on September 1, 2006 and love it more each day. My first impression was
of a well managed and manicured establishment. The grounds are beautiful. I
feel that I am in the country yet am five minutes from the super market and
church. The air even smells of pine trees which surrounds the Village. The
inside of the apartments are as well kept as the outside. Any problem is taken
care of quickly. The staff and managers are very friendly, helpful and kind. I
felt from the very first that they welcomed me here as a friend and not just a
renter. To me that makes a huge difference in creating a cordial homey
atmosphere in the Village. I chose to come here because there are only four
apartments to a building. It’s a homey atmosphere where I know all the people
in my building and get to know all the others in the activities that the
Village sponsors each week. Here there is no “hotel” living…”
~ Sister Norberta Dieringer
“My mom has been a resident at Hummel Village for over four years and I
can’t say enough times how much I love and appreciate Hummel Village. It
means so much to me to know my mom is safe and happy in a beautiful, cheerful
environment. I tell my friends that Hummel Village is like being in a little B and B with all your good
buddies.”
~ Debbie Esser, daughter of Maggie Malcom

“I truly enjoy the coziness of my place, the peaceful atmosphere and the friendly faces. Very well kept outdoors.” ~ Arlene Black
